Secure Site Protocol

If the address bar starts with https (note that all-important "s" added to the standard "http"), that means the site is secure. It will send encrypted information over the internet. So if you are ever using your credit card to shop online, make sure that the page where you are asked to input the credit card number begins with https. Otherwise, the card number is at risk. Anyway, any site that requests highly confidential information of that nature and that does not use secure http is probably not a legitimate business site anyway.
