What are some things chiropractic can help with? Besides the typical back pain, neck pain and pain traveling into the arms and legs, chiropractic treatment is effective in helping people with sciatica, headaches, fatigue, sleeplessness, irritability, digestive problems, tension between the shoulder blades, and allergies; as well as fibromyalgia and many other conditions. |

Many children with colic, headaches/migraines, decreased immunity,
bedwetting, ear infections and asthma have experienced dramatic improvements
while under chiropractic care.
Who benefits? Everyone, adults and children, should have their spines evaluated
for these misalignments.
What is it? Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote
natural healing and to improve function. This is done by inserting
very fine needles just under the skin into acupoints and applying heat
or electrical stimulation at precise acupuncture points.
How does it work? The classical Chinese explanation
is that energy channels, called meridians, run in very specific patterns
through and
over the body. Meridians are like rivers flowing through the body to
provide water and nourishment to tissues. When these rivers are obstructed,
it's like a dam that backs up, not allowing a smooth flow. An obstruction
in the movement of these "rivers" is
like a dam that backs up. Therefore the body's ability to maintain
homeostasis or equilibrium becomes compromised and illness or pain
may result. By needling the acupuncture points, the meridians can be
unblocked and regular flow reestablished.
Who benefits? Acupuncture is often affiliated with pain control, but
it can be effective in the treatment of a wide range of medical problems,
including, but not limited to, digestive disorders (i.e., gastritis,
spastic colon, constipation, diarrhea), respiratory problems (i.e.,
sinusitis, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma), and musculature disorders
(i.e., headaches, neck pain, low back pain and sciatica, fibromyalgia,
chronic fatigue syndrome), as well as urinary, menstrual and reproductive
problems, and overall immune support.
An increasing number of research studies show massage therapy reduces
heart rate, helps relieve stress, lowers blood pressure, increases blood
circulation and lymphatic flow (which strengthens the immune system,
therefore improving the body's self defense again viruses and bacteria
as well as carcinogenic (i.e., cancer causing agents that we are exposed
to on a daily basis through the air we breathe, the foods we eat as well
as the water we drink), therefore having a direct effect on your health
and well-being.
